The Last Walk?

Today, we took Sophia down to the water to walk around and enjoy the sunshine. There was a bridal party taking pictures in the park where we decided to spend our time. The mothers of the bride and groom ended up asking me at one point when I was due--apparently, they had been taking bets whether this would be my "last walk." We're hoping so, since this little boy is due tomorrow. But, regardless, we had a lot of fun in the sun, as these pictures will attest.

39 weeks, 6 days pregnant! Come on out!

Brian & Sophia

Yeah, they're other people's kids, but they were cute.

Mama & Sophia take a stroll along the water to look at the duckies.

Running around in the grass is super fun!

  1. This is a sweet post and the pictures are delightful.

Just said a prayer for you. God bless you at this time.

  2. Boy, you're really sticking out there! Congratulations and hoping for a safe birth.

  3. Bethany,

What sweet pictures---Sophia's boots are so stylish ;) Wouldn't it be lovely if your son came on his due date! I'm praying he makes his debut very soon!

As my friends begin to have children, I am awed at the presence of these new human beings that I had recently felt pressing toes against their mom's stomach, and who have suddenly become their own, albeit small, little selves outside of their mothers. What a miraculous process God created.

Prayers and a big "you can do it!"

  4. Beautiful photos! You are carrying so high, can you breathe?! You are such a beautiful pregnant lady. I am praying for you and wee babe.

  5. We're praying for your sweet freeloader. We're looking forward to meeting him!

  6. Sue- I know, right? I thought I was carrying my daughter high--everyone kept telling me I was having a boy. But, this little guy is REALLY high! I have had the worst heartburn all through this pregnancy--and I've never had heartburn in my life before! And, would you believe that his head is already engaged? He's at station 1 already! Imagine how high he would be if he hadn't dropped weeks ago?

  7. Bethany, you sure look super cute with that belly. I hope you're in labor by now. :o)

  8. Blessings to you this Sunday! I hope you're laboring and that walk got things kick-started!

And wow, you ARE carrying high! You're petite like me, with a short torso, but even I didn't carry that high! Yikes! Don't worry, that heartburn will go away so soon... :)

  9. You make such a cute pregnant lady, Bethany. Sophia's red boots are adorable! I bet she loves those.

Prayering for you and baby...can't wait to meet him!
