Blueberry Picking

Sometimes, you just have one of those days.

You know, the good kind…

…where the berries are all ripe, and the lighting is just right…

…and the company is sweet….

…and the farmers encourage pint-sized pickers to eat…

…and all is fresh air and light and sweetness and joy…

And, on top of it all, you get to go home with 14 pounds of blueberries!

His blessings are so gratuitous, we have to call it grace.

  1. What lovely pictures! Sounds like you had a delightful day as well with your children and friends.

What do you plan on making with all those blueberries? :)

  2. Mrs. Lady Sofia - I froze about a gallon of them to be used for muffins, pancakes, and smoothies. 3 quarts are dedicated to making a double batch of blueberry jam. I set aside 5 cups for a Sunday dinner pie. And, of course, 2 cups will be going in pancakes tomorrow morning!

  3. love the pictures and the food plan! Looks like a fabulous day filled with great memories.

  4. Oh, how I miss picking blueberries!!!!

Looks like you guys had a wonderful time. :)
